After spending two very incredible days at Seaside Oregon we came home to my house in Camas, Washington. Marty accompanied me to the mail box there was the usual bill, and junk mail, but nothing from him. I still had no Idea that he had sent me a love note. The mail I had grabbed had been from the days prior and not from that day. He gave no indication of what was to come. Marty was fixing my computer and I saw the mail truck go by so I asked my son to go get it of course it was an argument so I went myself. I grabbed the mail and I saw this lovely card there was no return address but the post mark was from Rhode Island so I knew it was from him the man I love so dearly. 

I read the hand written words of black on the soft pink paper they said: "I just wanted you to know I am having the time of my life! Being with you, actually with you is the most exhilarating feeling. I am alive in ways I never knew I could. You are the only woman for me Amber Louise. And my heart needs yours in order to feel. We both are going through so many levels of emotion, but I do not want to lose sight of our goal. I am going to spend the rest of my days by your side. Good and Bad, thick and thicker and thin and thinner. My intentions are pure and all I am is yours. I guess you should stop reading this card and just look over at me so I can ask you something...".  

When I dropped the letter and looked up at him I was in the living room not remembering that I had walked there. He looked over at me and said "I am only going to ask this once. I have never asked another living soul. Amber will you be my wife?" 

He's always sneaky like that and I love it he always knows what to do to make me stop and thank God for such a wonderful man who loves me so.
