I was quite content on my own, because I
only wanted someone who could add to my happiness and my son's. John
answered my ad after a few weeks. I loved his humor and quick wit. He
and I e-mailed each other for a few weeks and then decided to talk on
the phone.
After that, we decided to meet. We met in
Chicago and spent a wonderful 24 hours together. I could not believe how
we hit it off. It was as if we had known each other for years ! We could
read each others thoughts and finish each others sentences. We had a lot
in common and seemed to have melted together. I told him that he would
know how things went," IF" I took my ad off of the personal website.
When he got home, my ad was gone. We have spent every other week-end
together for 2 months, and talked numerous hours on the phone and
e-mailing each other. He is like no man I have ever met. John is so
loving, and kind hearted.
He is handsome and bright....funny and
adventurous. He is not selfish or self-centered.I have dated a lot
through the years, and no man has ever held a candle to him. I have
never been with anyone who understood me so well. I Thank God that I did
not settle for second best and waited for the man of my dreams to come
along. He is my soul mate and my future. I have never been in love
before, I thought I had, but I was wrong. It was never anything like
this. My son is 14 and he loves him as well. I have met his son and our
boys click like brothers. Our plans? We will be getting married, and I
will be moving to Detroit this coming summer after my sons graduates
from grade school.
My son and his son are really getting along
and excited about the move. We are all so very happy. My son even made
the comment "You are right Mom, he is the one for you" ....My advise to
others is...Keep looking and do not give up. There are a lot of people
who are sitting behind their computers, and you just never know. I will
give another update later.....thank you !

Johnnie's turn...
It was a fluke that I even got onto the
site...Saturday in the office...bidding on an on-line auction. I saw the
ad for a personal website for singles and clicked curiously. I hadn't
even narrowed my a search to the Detroit area...just looking at photos
of woman all over the world. After several pages...I saw Krissy's
picture. I joined for one month (the shortest duration) just to send
Krissy a letter. I remember thinking "She lives in Peoria for the Love
of God"...how's this going to work? I could tell from her ad and our
early mails that she was special. By the time we put the Chicago
week-end together, I knew that we were and would remain at least very
good friends. Chicago was incredible....she was so alive...I was in
shock riding in the cab to the airport.
I found the greatest woman in the world. I had a little trepidation
about trying to meet someone on-line. The simple truth is that it's a
great way to get to meet and know someone in a very short time. I
wouldn't expect that everyone's story to be as fabulous as mine. "I
found her"...the Woman for me. My advise to you guys....be totally
honest with the women you write to...the un-varnished truth is the
best.
